| A power line broke and lay hot on the ground for some time. It scorched
one pole and a 20 cm wide strip of earth between three poles. Fortunately
it did not start a forest fire. But it did electrocute and cremate two
large animals.
When the Hydro people went into the bush to fix it they found the burned up carcasses of a bear and, underneath it, a deer. Apparently ATVers had driven over the hot wire too! |
A lot of bones and black fur
Here are the jaws, the skull was missing - perhaps dragged away by
scavengers.
Most of the tooth is below the jaw
May not have been a full grown bear.
