| A massive front passed through the region causing wide spread damage.
Two tornados were confirmed. We expect power to be out at Stormy Lake for
a week due to downed lines and broken poles. Fortunately property damage
is amazingly minor but there were lots of close calls.
We hid in the closet fearing the windows were about to blow in, or worse, one or more of the large pine trees would crush the roof. This page is being written using a generator and candle light. Phone lines have been restored so uploading to stormylake.ca is now possible. Here are some pictures of the damage. People will probably email me better ones after the power comes back on. |
