ORANGE LODGE L.O.L. No 11

GOODERHAM ONT.

The Orange Lodge at Gooderham is one of the oldest Lodges in the County. The number 11 was taken from a lodge in southern Ontario in 1886, and transferred to Gooderham. The name first was L.O.L. No. 11 Monmouth, but when the Townships were given separate names it was made "Glamorgan" (I think Gordon may have meant ‘when the Townships of Glamorgan and Monmouth separated’) ".

It was incorporated in 1886, and has carried on since that time. The first meetings were held, in the school house at Ursa, 4 miles north of Gooderham. The present hall was built in 1890, on a site on the main corners of Gooderham Village.
