With election fever in the air around the current Provincial and Municipal elections, did you know that in the 1935 Federal Election, Gooderham fielded a candidate? 

J. R. Falconer, who bought Falconer’s Store and moved to Gooderham in 1924, was Reeve in 1930 and 1931and in 1935 accepted the candidacy for the Reconstruction Party.
